This page is dedicated to get you started on how to sign up for becoming a user of the BLOC buses. BLOC runs 6 bus routes between Oxford /Abingdon and going to the Europa School UK (ESUK): Buses 1, 2, 3, 4, 11 and 14. For more information on our routes see:
The other routes that serve ESUK are not BLOC routes and are run by the Culham Bus Club. We are unable to answer any questions in relations to routes not run by BLOC.
Please note that these bus routes may be subject to change, as the current routes are optimised for the users of BLOC in 2023/24. However, we will aim to keep to these routes as much as possible.
Registering
To register for BLOC please complete the following steps:
- Check the route most suitable for you and your child
- Use the online registration form to sign up to BLOC
There are three types of bus users: full-time (FT), morning bus only (AM) and afternoon bus only (PM). Please note that full-time users are prioritised over part-time (AM or PM) users if too few spaces are available.
Cost Guidance
Costs are based on the cost of hiring the buses shared between all users, and so vary from year to year depending on how the buses are used. For guidance these are the estimated fees for 2023/2024 (actual fees will vary depending on the number of users registered before each term). We expect a rise in costs from the bus company for 2024/2025.
Full time user (AM + PM) costs approximately:
- Autumn Term: £325
- Spring Term: £250
- Summer Term:£230
Part time user costs (AM only or PM only) approximately:
- Autumn Term: £195
- Spring Term: £155
- Summer Term:£140
